Silver + Silver = SILVER
You want to mix it up or else it'll just be the same. Silver + Silver + Yellow = Silver + Yellow |

Logic comes into play when mixing. Silver + Silver + Silver + Yellow Well that would be Mixing silver with itself 3 times then dumping a yellow into it. resulting in a formula which is basically Silver + Yellow Now, Silver + Yellow + Silver + Silver That would be like Silver + Yellow, then lightning it, then lightening it again some more. Hooray! It's always nice to know that I didn't do so well in art when I was in elementary school. Now I'm mixing colours at a Guru level! |

Well quote me if I am wrong but I think Icefire was correct. This game doesn't go by real world logic. I do believe there has been many posts on this before. MIXING ORDER DOES NOT MATTER. Except the fact that you can start off with the same color. You can't mix silver+silver first , the game won't let you. Then it doesn't matter what order you add the yellow in. Whether it is yellow second or first or what not. It doesn't matter. I know it doesn't go by real world physics but if you open a blender and throw in an apple + apple + orange in that order and mix it up, it will still taste the same whether you and the orange second then the other apple last. Mixing order does not matter. |

No, it does. The game doesn't know you are trying to make white dye, It thinks you are just trying to make silver + silver = silver. If you mix silver and silver it makes silver, the game doesn't know you're gonna add yellow to it.
E.g, if you did just mix silver and silver, then it wouldn't make a lighter silver, so you have to do what Opeth said. |

Has anybody in this thread ever tried to even mix a silver with a silver? It won't let you do it. Try it. Double click a silver the add it to another silver. See what happens. It won't let you I am telling you. Silver + yellow + silver +silver is the same as yellow +silver + silver + silver. You can only add two of the same color if you add a different color FIRST or SECOND. Those are the only ways you can mix it. Either way you get the same mixture.

So what I am thinking is that, as long as you use the same number of dyes of each color, (1 yellow and 3 silver) and that you start off by mixing yellow and silver first, you'll end up with white. Cool, thanks guys, now when I get my monk to Drok's, I'll be able to make her live up to her name: Nova The White Mage.

Mixing order definitely DOES NOT matter. I have tested this. I have made mixes for various armours. I have changed the order and it always comes out the same. I haven't tried adding two of the same to start with, but i have changed the order in all other instances. I have tested this with every dye color but black.
The only thing that seems to matter is what the dye is applied to. The same mix on different armours may (and usually do) come out differently. |

Thanks Frye. I have also tested this and what you and what I have been saying is correct. Unless you have tested a theory and are exact on your answers you should never answer a question on this forum. Too much bs going around on it as it is now. |
